Using the Stage as mixer for two keyboards?

Using the Stage as mixer for two keyboards?

Does anyone perform with a two keyboard setup when they use the audio in on the stage as the input from the the other keyboard so that you have only audio cable to your live mixer?

We have a small PA setup -- limited inputs -- and this seems like a viable approach unless the fidelity of the other keyboard is reduced in some way. Does that external audio pass right through?

Should work very well, I have worked many times like this with other Roland instruments.

As I also have some MIxer limitations, so i do work like that too. My RD Piano is hooked to the Fantom Input, so it's sound comes out on the Fantom's "A" Outputs, and then to the Mixer.

I also use a Volume pedal in the Piano, this way the piano volume can be easily controlled.

I put my Nord Stage through my Fantom X in this way. No problems at all.

BTW, I looked at the Stage's inputs and looks like it has a mono microphone input and no stereo input like the JUNO-G or Fantom-X... Which means it won't work out like I thought. However, if your second keyboard is one of other Rolands, you can do it vice versa.

Actually, the Juno-Stage has a stereo EXT Input right on the top panel. So yes you can use it to mix the sound of another keyboard. You just have to find an adaptor cable.

Did not notice the external mini jack input in the song player section. Thanks so much for pointing this out, V-CeeOh!
