Anyone using a G8 with a KS-V7?

Is anyone using the G8 with KS-V7 stand in the standing position?

I have been using an X stand until now and can't cope anymore. When vamping on low and high notes the keyboard is jumping around like a lunatic. It's only a matter of time before something goes.

I was looking at the KS-V7 but don't know how stable it would be with a G8 on it and heavy playing while at it's highest setting.

I don't have the opportunity to view and try this or the KS-G8 before purchasing one.

I have the FX8 that is almost the same that FG8. I´ve being using with the ks-v7 including live performances. Didn´t have any problem, It´s very stable, even when I put a extra keyboard at ks-stv7 I didn´t got any problem.

Cheers for the reply m8.. I've just seen the way it looks and cant work out how it can be so stable..

Gonna check weight difference between x8 and g8 and if close I'm gonna get one.

If anyone else got anything to add please do so now before I spend all this money.

p.s. do you know if it got any bugs... muhahahah.... couldn't resist, I've had a drink...

You said that you have read all the other keyboard stand threads so perhaps you have seen my posts on this topic. I bought this stand and found it stable and liked the styling but the base was too narrow so I couldn't get my pedalboard under it. I have an X6 which I use on a Roland Z stand and have also put my X8 on it. I found it stable enough since you can have the sides pretty far apart. I think the Z stands are a better setup when it comes to the stability of these stands.

Apart from the pedal problem, which wouldn't effect me did you like the stand? and was it Really stable when played aggresively.

There would not be another keyboard above it.

Hi! I have the G8 and the stand..... I haven't played it much on the top of the stand, but when I played it was very stable. The only problem is to put the thing on the top of the stand! it's too heavy!!
I like the stand a lot, I'm pleased with my choice.

Hey Flumpster. I found it pretty stable although the arms moved a little whereas my Z stand locks into position firmly and doesn't rock at all. The V stands seemed to have a little more play in their locking mechanism but I was not at all concerned about tipping it over. I use a lot of organ technique in my playing so that means a lot of glissando or slide but didn't think it would be a problem on either the V stand or on the Z stand.

i use the Roland's G8 stand for my G8 and although it looks nice and all, the cheezo OnStage double X stand for heavy keys was more stable.
