Inexpensive case for x6

Inexpensive case for x6

I am dangerously close to getting my (long awaited) x6. Now I am pondering accessories. Can anyone recommend a cheap hardshell case that will fit an X6 and can withstand the punishment of living with a 3 1/2 year old child.

lol........ 3 year olds are very dangerous indeed! :)

There are some other qusetions that need to be asked here:

Do you plan to do any traveling by plane or long distance?
Do you have a budget in mind ( you said cheap, but how cheap? ) ?
Do you need extra room in the case for cables or pedals?
Is weight a factor ( long distance and bad back may need need wheels on the case. )?

Hello dead2006,

I bought a Gator GK61 which seems OK for the job - it keeps the keyboard safe in the worlds of gigs and kids. It has quite a lot of storage pockets etc. for leads, memory cards, sheet music and all that. The front webbing ripped easily though.

you can get a moulded plastic case or an aluminum flight case.

Other than that you can get a custom case made.

oops I just saw your title, inexpensive.

Inexpensive hard case doesn't exist or you might have to qualify that word.

Those ones I mentioned above are not cheap.

You could build your own with plywood, carpet on outside and soft foam bits on inside. It would be cheap but heavy though.
I have every one of these cases mentioned for some bit of gear (guitar, keyboards etc...) They are all very childproof.
