Can I create a patch from wav sounds?

Can I create a patch from wav sounds?

Hi,
I have fantom g8 and I wonder -
Is it possible to insert the fantom a wav sound from the usb import directory and to "ask him" to create a new patch from it?
I mean, I will "give my fantom" one note and he will create all the others notes by himself?
If its possible, can someone please guide me how to do it?

sorry if It's an Imaginary/stupid question.

thanks for helping.

You can create a multisample and stretch the one note to all other keys, but the higher and lower keys will sound unatural.

The V-Synth does better with one note (variprhase).

The Fantom G needs you to add several notes per octave to sound proper in most cases.

MadaHorn:

No, you do not need to make a multisample to lay out one sample across the keys melodically.

some1:

All you need is import the file into the sample list and save it. Then in the patch editor, go to pro edit mode, initialize the patch, then go to the "wave" tab and you will see you can select the sample bank and your sample as the waveform. It will be laid back across the keys automatically.

Artemiy: you can also import the wav file, then choose the sample in the sample category in the patch list...
