roland style converter - HELP pls

9 Nov 2008, 03:39
Has anyone on this forum used a roland style converter ?
Ok I have a Roland GW-8 using style converter ver 3.0.
I am using Cubase LE as my sequencer editor.
I have created a style as per instructions and imported it to the GW-8.
The style consists of drums, bass and piano (jazz)
When the style runs on the GW-8 the drums and piano sound right. But the bass is coming out as a piano.
In Cubase I have set channel 2 to the bass as per the definition file I have created for the Gw-8.
But the program change doesnt seem to take.
Maybe my file definition for the gw-8 is at fault here, I dont know.
Can anyone shine any light on this issue for me please.

Hey Atlas5

I have managed to get the style converter running
it takes a bit of getting used to and patience
but can be a lot of fun
it also helps to have Sonar to make it easier
once you work out the instrument file definition your right
its quite a good idea

thanks for bumping me up
