Prince's Upcoming Musiclogy Tour

I gotta tell you guys... I saw Prince and the NPG on Monday(actually Tuesday morning around 1:30 a.m.) and they rocked the house!!!! The keyboard player Renato Nato is one of the most amazing players on this planet. He has two keyboardists on tour with him, A full horn section(Candy Dulfer, Maceo Parker, both on saxes, Greg Boyer on trombone and Chris Willams on sax also(imagine Kenny G on steroids... this dude was doin circular breathing while doin hammer-ons on his Tenor!!! Never saw anything like it!!!) Rhonda Smith was holding down the groove on bass, and John Blackwell kept the beat goin'(another ferocious player as well). One keyboardist was using a Nord Lead, an XV-88 and a Motif. The other keyboardist was using a Triton and a Motif. Prince's band is the baddest in the land and if you get a chance to check 'em out... do so!!! You won't be dissapointed if you do.

I refuse to see any band who is not using a Fantom-S, or buy any music that is not recorded on one.

This means my purchases this year will be limited to the Forum Compilation CD. Yippee!!!!

And watching me play with myself.

Damn, how I wish he was coming to the DC area on this tour. I saw him on Leno a few weeks back, and it rocked!

The man is a creature yet to be defined and I am very impressed with his talent. I caught him on Leno recently as well and that is the longest my set stayed on that channel while Leno was on. Why do the great ones always have to be sooooo......
