Stop RPS on XP-80 from triggering external MIDI devices
11 Sep 2007, 11:30Does anybody know how to stop the RPS function on the XP-80 from triggering MIDI notes on external devices? I have turned off all Tx to 'off' on Performance mode, and set all sequencer OUTPUT to just INT (internal). I am using Performance mode as LAYER mode and turning off all TX to 'off' so it won't trigger any MIDI note messages to external devices. I am only using the MIDI connection to synchronize the tap-tempo from the XP-80 to the Fantom X6 and the RS-5. I am trying to synchronize all the arpeggios playing in synchronization to the tap-tempo of the XP-80, which tries to humanly synchronize to the live drummer. It works perfectly as long as I don't use the RPS function from the XP-80. Once the RPS function is turned on from the XP-80, all the other keyboards MIDI channels play too...it's a mess.
If anyone still have the XP-80 and can show me how to de-activate sending MIDI note messages to external devices I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
