Signitures

Just something i notice about signitures.

they are integrated in to the message as EXTRA TEXT so this makes the message physicaly bigger.

Would it not be more efficient to DISPLAY the signiture at the end of a message so it does not add to the messaged being posted, thus reducing the capacity needed to store messages.?
(if you understand what i mean)
the other advantage is, that because it is being DISPLAYED and not written to the message.

If someone updates there signiture later, the updated signiture is displayed in all previous and new messages, unlike the current method which leave the old signiture in the old messages.

First and foremost, the signature reflects the time it was being written. Just like your real signature changes over time (although slightly), the forum signature shows what you had on your mind that time.

Anyway, I am thinking to ditch the signature function as such... I find it one of the most annoying parts of the communication (especially when some folks put large images in them). Such stuff can vastly decrease the page readability.
