SRX-11 Sounds Great!

SRX-11 Sounds Great!

Just to let everybody know, I'm very happy with the SRX-11 Complete Piano. The extended harmonics and sustain have greatly enhanced my piano sounds. The enhanced dynamic range is very nice.

The other problem thread was tracked down to a controller with less than full velocity range.

Hi Mark.

Thanks for the post. I just recently bought the SRX-11 as well and would agree that the SRX-11 makes a nice addition to my currently limited number of piano sounds. I'm not sure what kind of keyboard controller you're using with the SRX-11, but I'm using a Fantom-X8. The dynamic range is actually a bit too wide for me and tends to reduce the realism to a degree IMO. However, the samples and waveform sets are good and a nice alternate to the Fantom-X internal ones. Many of the SRX-11 patches are also quite good. The patch designers seem to have taken great pains to make the velocity transitions smooth in a lot of the patches (but not all). Overall, I'd say the price (around $240) is a bit high for just one set of instrument samples and 42 patches, but for a piano lover like me, it's worth it just for the variety.

I'm using the Fantom X8 also. I got SRX-11 for the $100 G.C. blow out price.

The extra dynamic range is very useful for solo piano arrangements. Using piano mode, I got a better understanding of the dynamics with the easy access key touch menu.

SRX-11 has converted me into a piano lover.

SRX-11 is kind of like an acoustic guitar with new strings, very bright harmonic series and good sustain. The other stock patches sound more like older strings.
