Fantom-X (and V-Synth) Mac OS X Universal Binary Driver Avai
2 Apr 2006, 21:35Hello all.
Just thought all you new Intel-based Mac users would be interested to know that Roland has created Universal Binary versions (runs on both PowerPC and Intel Macs) of their Fantom-X USB MIDI driver and V-Synth MIDI USB drivers. They are available from their public FTP server at the following URLs.
Fantom-X driver:
ftp://ftp.roland.co.jp/pub/roland/japan/macos/FantomXDrv_MacX120.tar.gz
V-Synth driver:
ftp://ftp.roland.co.jp/pub/roland/japan/macos/VSynthDrv_MacX120.tar.gz
V-Synth XT driver:
ftp://ftp.roland.co.jp/pub/roland/japan/macos/VSynthXT_MacX120.tar.gz
Their librarian software remains for PowerPC only and runs under Rosetta emulation still, but will work as long as you have the Universal Binary drivers installed.
Regards,
Nathan Sheldon
